Structure Measurement Mode

Calibrate each camera position.

Choose lens height, enter horizontal camera-to-wall distance, and add a known reference whenever possible. Ground, eye-level, 10-ft, 15-ft, and custom camera heights can all be mixed in one survey.

Automatic door scale

SmartQuote scans every photo in this job for the clearest exterior pedestrian door, then uses that door as the primary scale reference for the measurement solve. The default planning assumption is an 80-inch (6 ft 8 in) door. Older/custom doors can differ, so change the assumed height if you know it.
Door reference has not been scanned yet.
The door is an approximate scale anchor, not a survey control point. SmartQuote accounts for perspective and only transfers scale between photos when overlapping building geometry supports it.

Photo calibration

Google / aerial measurement cross-check

Use Google Maps satellite or Google Earth as a second opinion, then enter the dimensions you can responsibly read there. SmartQuote compares them with the photo/AI estimate and feeds usable eave/ridge heights into the ladder/lift planner. Aerial/3D measurements remain estimates until field-verified.

Access equipment planner

Uses your measured/verified height plus field access conditions to suggest the smallest appropriate ladder class or a lift category. This is a planning aid — verify the exact ladder model, lift working envelope, ground, weather, load, and manufacturer instructions before use.

On distant/overview photos, SmartQuote maps the structural areas you should inspect — it does not claim wildlife entry. For planning, each checked blue area is priced as a worst-case possibility. Close-up visible defects can be confirmed separately.

Worst-case planning quote

This is intentionally a worst-case scenario. SmartQuote assumes every checked overview inspection area could require exclusion and prices it with your Maine baseline. It does not mean an entry point was seen. After your close inspection, remove, confirm, or edit any line. Customer reports never show this private planning price.

Maine pricing baseline

Automatic starting prices are loaded. The starting price book is calibrated to Maine/New England benchmarks: Portland small-animal control averages about $418, Augusta-area wildlife removal is commonly quoted around the mid-$400s to mid-$500s, and Brunswick-based Modern Pest reports most wildlife exclusion projects at roughly $800–$3,500+. SmartQuote uses Maine/local benchmarks where public data exists and current 2026 exclusion/repair benchmarks for individual building components where Maine-specific per-component pricing is not published. Every rate remains editable.

Structural exclusion rates

Service pricing

Create and edit reusable service prices for trapping, exclusions, visits, cleanup, property oversight, or anything else you sell. Set a unit rate, optional minimum charge, default quantity, labor/cost assumptions, and truck/material notes.

Access equipment defaults

Choose the extension ladders you actually carry. The planner uses manufacturer-style support-height ranges and will not pretend an oversized ladder is automatically a safe substitute. Your requested default inventory is 16 ft, 28 ft, and 32 ft.
The planner treats work above the normal 32-ft extension-ladder support range as a lift candidate. It can also recommend a lift at lower heights when terrain, obstacles, or the work method make a ladder a poor choice.

Private cost target

Optional. Enter the minimum amount you want left per field labor hour after entered hard costs. Leave at $0 if you only want the raw effective-return calculation.

Measurement accuracy

Best → multiple straight-on photos + known reference + measured camera distance.
Good → multiple photos + known distance/height.
Rough only → single image with no known scale. Wide uncertainty or no estimate is better than false precision.

Google address lookup

Optional. If a GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY secret is added to your Cloudflare Worker, the property field can show Google Places address suggestions while you type. SmartQuote debounces requests and also applies a local daily request guard. Google Maps URLs and the Google/Earth cross-check buttons work without an API key.
Keep it at $0: Google currently gives the Autocomplete Requests SKU a 10,000-request monthly free cap. Google still requires a billing-enabled Cloud project. For hard cost protection, set a conservative Google Maps Platform daily quota (for example 150–200 autocomplete requests/day) and restrict the key to the Places API.

AI connection

The app sends AI analysis directly to your private Cloudflare Worker, which uses the native Workers AI binding. No OpenAI paid fallback is used. If the free Workers AI allowance is unavailable, AI analysis stops instead of switching to a paid provider.
